Rusty is a beautiful, young boy that is the victim of an amateur breeder. His hazy blue eyes were caused by a feed store immunization which left him with "blue eye". Fortunately, this has not affected his vision and may never cause any problem for him throughout his life.

Rusty is a wonderful companion. He loves people and will follow you throughout the house. He is playful with other dogs and loves to wrestle. He is crate trained but prefers to sleep with his people. He is housebroken and loves to run in and out of the doggie door. Rusty has no bad habits --- he is a wonderful dog, deserving of a home that is willing to provide him with a lifetime of love and continued healthcare.

Special Needs: Rusty has an eye condition called Uveitis, which has occured as a result of administering "feed store drugs" to him as a puppy. Often times, irreputable and irresponsible breeders will purchase these cheap drugs from a feed store because they do not require a prescription. Once he has visited a specialist, we will have more information about his prognosis. Update 10/09/06: Rusty was seen today by a veterinary ophthalmologist. His full diagnosis is: Both eyes: Uveitis - chronic immune mediated (mild) with secondary corneal edema secondary to corneal endothelial decompensation or degeneration secondary to endothelial compromise. His prognosis is fair to good even if the corneal edema does not resolve. Rusty is on a course of treatment in the hopes that the edema will resolve, but his prognosis is still good!
