Lady is a cute little red and white Basset who spent the first five years of her life producing puppies for a puppy mill. Very sweet and gentle, this little girl is ready for a family who'll give her a lifetime of affection she's missed. Is that you?

Foster Update: There couldn’t be a more perfect name for this perfect little lady. You would never know she had such a rough life up-to-now as a puppy mill mother.

Lady is extremely gentle and lovable. New situations make her a little shy and timid, but she adapts very quickly. She gets along with other people, dogs, cats, and children. Being crate trained and housetrained with a doggie door makes living with her a breeze. I believe she can be trusted to roam free in the home while you’re away. Lady doesn’t exhibit any bad traits except for jumping on furniture. That seems to be a Basset Hound trait — they do like to be comfy and who can blame them? Certainly NOT me! Any environment — even an active home with children — would be okay for her. She’d be fine as an only dog or with a doggie brother or sister. As long as this little lady receives the love and attention she richly deserves, she’ll thrive.

Yes, she had a rough start in life. Are you the one to make her remaining years the best ever?
