Have you ever seen a Basset smile? Mr. Freddie does! It’s just the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. Alfredo would be the perfect dog for any family. He’s an absolute sweetheart and is so easy to have. He’d thrive in any environment as long as he gets plenty of petting and belly rubs! He gets along well with other dogs and children (as far as I’ve observed). He’s definitely a Velcro Basset. He has to be with his people whenever they’re home. When you leave, he does exhibit mild separation anxiety but settles down quickly. While gone, we leave him free to roam about and that’s never been a problem. Since he was a stray for so long — and used to eating people food — he doesn’t like being restricted to doggie food. He's absolutely shameless when it comes to begging for table scraps. Like all Bassets, he does like comfortable places — such as the bed - to sleep. As you can see, he’s gotten spoiled living in a house - and not on the street - very quickly! He loves snooping around the back yard or going for a short walk.
