Have you ever seen a cuter basset puppy? Probably not! Eloise is everything you could ever want in a basset. She is all lap dog, all ears, simply wants to be held and cuddled all day long, and you will definitely want to oblige her. Because she is so young, she will require a stay at home or work from home mom or dad who can spend lots of time training and teaching her. Eloise and her brother Emmit will not be available for adoption until they have grown up a little. Check in often to watch her grow!
Update 5/5/06 - This young girl with the golden eyes is growing up fast!! While there is plenty of puppy left to go around she is taking on the shape of dog more than puppy. She is getting long in the body and beginning to lose her puppy fat belly. She is a quick study and learning so many new things at this tender age. She can sit for her dinner bowl at mealtime, and she is learning to sit up to say her prayers for her after dinner treats. Ellie loves to shake her squeak toys, and if you throw them she will run them down! Her favorite pastime in the yard is watching the birds. If a birdie is walking on the lawn she thinks itâs ready to play and runs to it. She is so disappointed when the bird doesn't want to "play" and flys away!! She is making great progress walking on a leash. Now she knows she can go outside on the leash and have lots of new things to see and sniff!! Ellie is a big hit with everyone on the walks, seems nobody can pass her without rubbing her ears or giving her some sweet words. She's always glad to greet adults, kids and other dogs with tail wags, she loves their attention. This gal is so precious and will be a great companion for anyone wanting to give her lots and lots of love!
