Gidget has now gone through her heartworm treatment and is ready for her forever home! Gidget would love to be laying across your lap, her head tilted back gazing at you with those golden eyes of hers, while she's enjoying you giving her what most all basset hounds love - a belly rub! Gidget loves to be petted anywhere, but she especially loves to share the recliner so that she can get lots of belly rubbing and kissses on her head and nose!
Gidget is a perky little red and white female, rather petite, who is truly a sweetheart! Gidget loves to cuddle and be close to her foster mom. She gets along great with her foster home's bassets, and the cats, too (she does enjoy the chase when one of the cats runs from her)! Although Gidget is a bit on the timid side, she can be protective of a chew toy or her food. Gidget would do best in a home with children old enough to know not to try to take something from from her mouth. Can you find it in your heart to give this precious young lady her new forever home with you? You won't be sorry if you do! More about GidgetGood with Dogs, Good with Cats, Good with Kids Special Needs: Gidget is a timid little girl who was probably left outside all the time until she came into the program at NTBHR. Consequently, she is very fearful of thunderstorms and may have difficulty trusting humans. Gidget needs a home that is able to devote time to her to help her with her emotional issues. Gidget is able to bond with her caretaker, but will needs lots of time and love at her forever home to adjust. And, Gidget needs a canine pal to help keep her company when her humans are not at home.
