Geraldine is a gorgeous girl with amber eyes and unique markings on her face and neck. Once she bonds with her owner, she is a "cuddle-bug" and loves to take naps beside you and give lots of hugs and snuggles and kisses. She has a wonderful personality - and keeps the family entertained with her antics. Geraldine is a long-legged Basset Hound, and is very adept at "counter-cruising". She loves the doggie-door, and keeps busy going in and out. She gets along well with other dogs and is a very gentle girl. She was a brood matron in a puppy mill and came to us very shy and timid. She has made a lot of progress and is now trusting of humans again. However, she does not like to be left alone, and cannot be crated when her foster parents are gone as she becomes extremely panicky. She will go into a crate for a nap but she wants the door left open. Her foster home is gently working with her on her separation anxiety and other emotional wounds.

Special Needs: Geraldine and Gilda are puppy mill victims - they are a bonded pair as they have survived together. Geraldine is especially needy - her scars are emotional.
